Most games played on a
field or court
allow
for an unscheduled break.
Players and coaches use it to
catch their breath,
devise a game plan,
gather their courage.
Then they re-enter the
field of play.
In daily life and work,
so few of us allow ourselves
the same opportunity.
We
gut it out,
push forward,
soldier on,
and wonder why
we are
tired,
uninspired,
worn out.
What if in daily
life, work, and relationships
we gave ourselves the opportunity
to call a timeout?
