When the hurricane rolls in,
and fear begins to rise,
you close up the house,
nail it all down and protect yourself.
Fear tells us to close up.
(And in the case of a hurricane, it makes sense.)
Most of our lives are not lived in a hurricane,
and yet we live in fear.
We live a closed life.
Afraid to trust.
Afraid to risk.
Afraid to love.
What overrides fear?
Faith.
Fear closes up.
Faith opens up.
