All college tours look the same
from the outside.
There are parents,
potential students, and
a tour guide.
They walk around the campus,
pointing at, talking about, and (sometimes)
entering the different buildings.
The difference comes in the guide.
(Most people assume the difference would be their passion for the school.
But all schools seek to recruit passionate guides.
Your guide can love your college and still give a poor tour.)
The real difference: They know what their mission is.
Their mission is to help you fall in love with the idea
and life-long benefits of
living, learning and playing on campus.
It’s that simple and so difficult few actually do it.
(Oh and this applies to anything anyone is promoting.
Let helping people fall in love with your idea become your mission.
This will make the difference.)
