Kernels grow where they are planted,
never doubting they were supposed
change,
transform,
and produce their fruit.
They don’t seem to
wonder
if they should have been a
sunflower,
or a stalk of wheat.
They don’t hold on to the seed
and resist
sending down roots,
sending up a stalk.
There are seeds in us.
Will you let them
grow,
transform
and produce your fruit
