CLEAN HOUSE

Each day, a little clutter gathers

in the corners of the mind.

Negativity.

Anxiety.

They don’t seem like much--

not enough to notice really.

If left alone, they grow.

Once tucked just out of sight,

they begin to take on real shape and weight.

Once just whispering,

now they make their statements

loud and clear.

“You aren’t good enough.”

“If you do that they won’t like you.”

“You will never be as good as…”

Ignore them and they will become

ever louder and stronger.

Instead,

engage:

Listen for the whispers.

Look for where the clutter is beginning to gather.

Then, sweep the floors.

Dust the corners.

Do the daily work to clean

the house of your mind.
