DISORIENTATION

Once you’ve taken steps toward your destination,

you may experience some disorientation.

The old you is clamoring to stop,

to turn around,

to go back

to comfort,

to familiarity.

The new you is still an infant

overshadowed in an instant,

by the confusion,

the disruption,

the new path being trod.

Your first inclination may be to give up

or to push harder forward.

Be still,

feel the confusion,

the disorientation,

the frustration,

and know--

This is the way of transformation.
