WHEN YOU BEGIN

Maybe not on the first step,

or in the first week,

and most likely when you least expect,

the resistance kicks in.

Your ego freaks out.

Sabotage starts playing the long game.

When you begin to break free,

part of you wants to stay stuck,

because

the rut is familiar,

your problems are safe,

and your ego is thinking, “I’m dying!”

Embracing your Uncommon Life

means letting go of what is common.

And what is common is being stuck,

in a rut,

complaining,

stalling--saying,

“When I have time...When I lose 10 lbs...When the moon is just right”.

Letting go is not for the faint of heart;

embracing the new takes courage.

And,

when you meet the resistance,

when the ego freaks out,

when sabotage shows up,

You know you are on the right path.
