Fear
of being fired,
laid off,
reprimanded,
and shamed
leads us to
do our most protective, secretive work,
to cover up problems,
to assign blame to others.
Creativity and innovation are left cowering in the corner.
Why would anyone manage people this way?
(And we wonder why job satisfaction is so low?)
