HABITS OF MIND

It takes time

to retrain habits of mind.

 

The connections and pathways

didn’t pop up overnight .

 

They became well-worn superhighways

with regular thought, practice,and emotions.

 

Habitual and unhelpful

anger,

sadness,

frustration,

overwhelm,

can be overwritten.

 

The interstate of the mind

can be re-routed.

 

But it’s going to take

self-compassion,

determination

discipline,

and forgiveness.
